A new partner and three special counsel announced at Gilbert + Tobin

Gilbert + Tobin has announced the appointment of a new partner and three special counsel, effective 1 July 2012.
Gilbert + Tobin continues to grow its partnership through the promotion of Corporate Advisory lawyer, Hiroshi Narushima. Other internal appointments include three new special counsel, Benjamin Downie, a Banking + Finance lawyer, Ben Fuller, a Planning and Environment lawyer and Chris Williams, an Intellectual Property lawyer.
Managing Partner, Danny Gilbert said, “These are terrific appointments and we welcome the significant talent represented in these promotions.”
Hiroshi joined the firm in January 2007, in the Corporate Advisory group. Hiroshi specialises in private equity, mergers and acquisitions, general corporate, securities law, governance and foreign investments matters.
Benjamin joined the firm in May 2010 as a lawyer in the Banking + Finance group. Benjamin specialises in securitisation, debt capital markets and structured finance transactions and he is also experienced in general financing transactions.
Ben joined Gilbert + Tobin in March 2010 as a lawyer in the Real Estate and Projects team. Ben specialises in advising on contamination law, all aspects of environmental impact assessment and approvals strategy, climate change law, energy and resources projects and corporate environmental due diligence.
Chris joined the firm in February 2006 as a lawyer in our Intellectual Property group. Chris specialises in intellectual property. Chris has litigation experience generally across patents, copyright, designs, trade marks, breaches of confidential information and trade practices issues.
