Gilbert + Tobin partner named on the AFR/Westpac 100 Women of Influence List

Gilbert + Tobin partner Moya Dodd has been named on the AFR/Westpac 100 Women of Influence list and is also nominated as a finalist for the Global Impact Award.
Managing Partner Danny Gilbert said, “We are thrilled Moya has been named on the 100 Women of Influence List.”

Moya is a highly regarded partner in Gilbert + Tobin’s competition and regulation group, a member of the Football Federation Australia Board, Vice-President of the Asian Football Confederation and played for the Matildas, Australia’s women’s football team, including as Vice-Captain from 1986 to 1995.
In football, she was instrumental in persuading FIFA to change its rule forbidding women footballers from wearing the hijab (headscarf). At Gilbert + Tobin, she was lead partner on the implementation of Telstra’s NBN structural separation undertaking.
Two Gilbert + Tobin alumni, April Long and Sam Mostyn, were also listed among the 100 Women of Influence.
The Financial Review Group and Westpac have combined to launch the 100 Women of Influence awards to recognise a new generation of women who are achievers in Australian business and society. There are 10 categories of awards including boardroom, philanthropy, regional Australia, global impact and innovation.
The candidates are judged on their demonstrated vision, leadership, innovation and action in and beyond their field. The awards are designed to celebrate the increasing depth of women’s leadership talent in Australia, role models for a vibrant, diverse economic future.
