Gilbert + Tobin advised the Independent Directors of Charter Hall Office REIT on the response to the proposal by US based hedge funds to remove Charter Hall Office Management Limited as the responsible entity of Charter Hall Office REIT.
Corporate Advisory Partners Garry Besson and Gary Lawler, together with senior lawyer Michael Gajic, advised the Independent Directors.
The extraordinary general meeting was held on 27 July, 2011, where the majority of investors, more than 67% of the register, voted down the proposal.
