Gilbert + Tobin partners Gina Cass-Gottlieb and Tim Gordon have been recognised among Australia’s top legal professionals at the third annual Lawyers Weekly 'Partner of the Year Awards'.

Gina Cass-Gottlieb was named Partner of the Year – Competition, Trade and Regulation, and Tim Gordon took out the Mergers and Acquisitions Partner of the Year award.

The awards, which took place on Friday 15 June in Sydney, recognise the exceptional performance of partners in law firms who demonstrate passion and commitment to leadership, technical expertise, mentorship and business development skills.

The winners are judged by a panel of experts in the legal profession with both Gina and Tim beating out a high-calibre field to be named the winners their respective specialities.

G+T’s Elizabeth Avery accepted the award on behalf of Gina Cass-Gottlieb for Partner of the Year – Competition Trade and Regulation, and said, "Gina’s success is achieved by a deeply thoughtful strategic approach, peerless engagement with regulators, deep client commitment and long-haul perseverance.

"Gina was the first G+T female partner in 1995 and has ever since been passionate in mentoring and encouraging women lawyers within the practice group to work directly with clients, across all levels."
