Gilbert + Tobin Litigation partner Janet Whiting has been named in The Australian Financial Review and Westpac 100 Women of Influence Awards.

Janet was recognised in the culture category for her involvement in furthering Australia’s cultural presence and impact. This is the second time that Janet has been included in the prestigious list. She was also recognised in the board and management category in 2012. Throughout her career Janet has been a director on not-for-profit boards and has held leading roles in both the arts and tourism sectors. She actively promotes the progression of women in the legal and business professions. “It’s a huge honour and privilege to be recognised in this impressive list of women,” said Janet.

Janet’s recognition in The Australian Financial Review and Westpac 100 Women of Influence Awards follows her inclusion in the Queen’s Birthday Honours List earlier this year and her induction onto the 2015 Victorian Honour Roll of Women. In its fourth year, the 100 Women of Influence Awards celebrate outstanding women from a wide variety of sectors across Australia. Entrants into the awards were assessed by a panel of esteemed judges and have been recognised based on their outstanding ability to demonstrate vision, leadership, innovation and action in and beyond their fields.
