Brian Bero, Lawyer
Brian is a lawyer in Gilbert + Tobin’s TMT and Project Services group.
Brian’s principal areas of practice include advising on technology-based procurement and outsourcing transactions, service agreements, software licensing arrangements and general corporate and commercial advisory work.
Brian advises various public sector organisations and corporate clients on a broad range of matters in the commercial, technology and procurement sectors.
Brian has joined the firm via a secondment for a year from his role as in-house legal counsel at a major airline company, where he advises on contractual matters relating to aircraft charters, ground handling, general procurement, goods and services, sponsorships, advertising and marketing, technology contracts, IP assignments and licenses, vehicle leasing and aircraft engine leasing. This broad experience has enabled him to develop a good understanding of the various factors involved in commercial transactions. Brian has also worked as a solicitor for the Victorian Government Solicitor’s Office and has been an associate in both the Supreme Court of Victoria and the Federal Court of Australia.
Brian holds a Bachelor of Laws from the Queensland University of Technology. He was admitted as a solicitor of the Supreme Court of Victoria in 2008.
