Biography

    Jason is a special counsel in Gilbert + Tobin's Disputes + Investigations group.

    Jason has extensive experience in Royal Commissions + inquiries, class actions, commercial disputes, technology + digital disputes, contentious regulatory matters, investigations, white collar crime, and minimising financial + reputational risk. 

    Jason has practised in multiple jurisdictions in Australia and internationally.  He has acted for the Australian Government and its agencies, as well as several major corporate clients and private sector firms.  His experience includes acting on numerous highly complex and high value disputes, regulatory matters and investigations for clients in the professional services; technology, telecommunications + digital; manufacturing + FMCG; banking + financial services; energy + mining; and health care sectors.

    Jason has a Master of Laws (Government and Commercial Law) from the Australian National University, and a Bachelor or Laws (Hons) and Bachelor of Management from the University of Canberra.

    Jason Oliver was ranked as a Future Leader, likely to be the pre-eminent names of the next generation.
