G+T has been recognised as a Top 20 Innovative Global Law Firm and a Top 10 Innovative Law Firm headquartered in Asia-Pacific at the Financial Times Innovative Lawyers 20-Year Global Summit.

This special edition marks the 20th anniversary of the FT Innovative Lawyers Program and celebrates the firms and individuals who have consistently shaped and advanced legal innovation since 2006. The retrospective recognises those whose work has been original, impactful and emblematic of the transformation of legal practice over the past two decades.

G+T’s recognition underscores the firm’s sustained impact on legal innovation, driven by its leadership in technology, exceptional client service and a strong commitment to building digital capability.

Now in its 20th year, the FT Innovative Lawyers Program acknowledges those who lead with purpose and creativity to deliver meaningful change. At G+T, innovation is embedded in the firm’s approach, shaping how it uses technology, works with clients and supports its people and community. This recognition affirms the firm’s commitment to pursuing innovation and reimagining legal practice.

Two of G+T’s senior leaders were also individually honoured for their exceptional contributions:

  • Danny Gilbert, Founder and Chairman of G+T, was named among the Top 20 Law Firm Leaders globally. Since founding the firm in 1988, he has built a challenger firm purpose-built for clients’ most complex and critical work, competing at the highest levels with legacy firms.

  • Caryn Sandler, Partner and Chief Knowledge and Innovation Officer, was recognised as a Top 20 Intrapreneur for her leadership in embedding legal operations, innovation and technology at the core of the firm’s practice and client service. Through the multidisciplinary G+T Innovate team, she has helped drive transformative change in the way the firm and its clients approach legal service delivery, delivering high-impact, future-focused solutions across capability, operations and strategic projects.

These honours reinforce G+T’s reputation as a modern, purpose-built firm shaping the future of legal practice both locally and globally.

This recognition follows G+T being named the Most Innovative Law Firm in Asia-Pacific (Headquartered in Asia-Pacific) at the Financial Times Innovative Lawyers Awards 2025, marking the second consecutive year the firm has received top honours. G+T was also shortlisted in seven categories, showcasing the breadth and impact of its innovation agenda, including the launch of its proprietary generative AI tool GilBot, early adoption of AI in eDiscovery, a firmwide AI capability-building program, and standout advisory roles on projects ranging from biodiversity markets to emergency response platforms.
