Gilbert + Tobin has been named Law Firm of the Year for the second year in a row and taken out Intellectual Property Team of Year at the 17th Lawyers Weekly Australian Law Awards.

The coveted Law Firm of the Year award recognises Gilbert + Tobin’s position as a leading corporate law firm in Australia, advising clients on their most significant transactions and developing innovative approaches to legal service delivery.

The firm was also named Intellectual Property Team of the Year.    

Managing Partner Danny Gilbert said the award reflects Gilbert + Tobin’s commitment to leading the Australian corporate legal industry.

The Award ceremony, which took place on Friday 1 September was attended by more than 700 legal industry professionals.  

Gilbert + Tobin was also a finalist for Banking and Finance Team of the Year, Commercial Team of the Year, Dealmaker of the Year, Innovator of the Year, Managing Partner of the Year, Pro Bono Program of the Year, Senior Associate of the Year, Special Counsel of the Year, Young Gun of the Year, Transaction Team of the Year and  Business Development Professional of the Year.
