Scams and Fraudulent Activity

Invoice Payment Scam Alert

We have been made aware of a scam involving the use of our name and logo on fraudulent invoices.

A small number of Companies and G+T clients have received an invoice purporting to be from Gilbert + Tobin.

What to look out for

The scam invoice is sent via email (often with a subject “Legal Expense”) from a fake email address and contains instructions to make payment into a bank account that does not belong to Gilbert + Tobin.

How to protect yourself

Please be aware, any legitimate Gilbert + Tobin invoices we send via email will always come from a Gilbert + Tobin email address eg name@gtlaw.com.au

Further, Gilbert + Tobin’s bank account details have NOT changed.

Act with caution if you receive an unsolicited email or invoice that you suspect could be a scam.
