For the second consecutive year, Gilbert + Tobin  was named Australian Law Firm of the Year (100-500 lawyers) at the Australasian Law Awards held in Sydney on 19 May 2016.

The firm also won the Energy & Resources Deal of the Year (Transgrid privatisation); Insolvency & Restructuring Deal of the Year (Atlas Iron Restructure); M&A Deal of the Year (NSW Electricity Networks acquisition of Transgrid); and Australian Deal of the Year (NSW Electricity Networks acquisition of Transgrid).
