Alper Gokoglu

Biography

Alper is a lawyer in our Disputes and Investigations group.

He specialises in tax controversy matters and advises on all stages of tax disputes, from routine and targeted reviews through to audits, objections and litigation.

Alper has significant experience in matters concerning international tax issues, including transfer pricing, and the application of the general anti-avoidance rules (GAAR). He has acted for both the Commissioner of Taxation and taxpayers.

He also advises on complex tax issues and engages with the Australian Taxation Office on behalf of clients, including through private biding ruling applications. His experience includes the franked distribution integrity rules, hybrids, interest and penalty remission and capital and revenue characterisation.

Alper advises clients across all sectors, with a particular focus on large multinational corporate entities.
