Clare Beardall

Clare acts for both suppliers and customers on a broad range of complex technology related transactions, including SaaS arrangements, outsourcings and new technology developments. She also advises on regulatory matters including in areas of privacy, AI, online-safety and consumer regulation, with particular experience in the area of unfair contract terms. Clare also has significant experience advising on separation aspects, transitional service arrangements and ongoing commercial agreements associated with major M&A transactions.   

Clare has developed a deep, first-hand understanding of clients’ requirements and the common challenges they face, having worked inhouse with commercial legal teams at British Telecommunications in London, Telstra and the ASX. Clare is also admitted to practice in New York State, where she spent time working for a tech start-up on the operations side.

Clare advises technology and telecommunications service providers, as well as customers across all sectors, including financial services and government.
