Morelle Bull, Lawyer

Morelle is a lawyer in Gilbert + Tobin’s Competition + Regulation group.

Her practice involves a range of competition law and regulatory work. Her competition experience includes assisting clients in relation to merger clearances, authorisations and investigations and advising on competition law issues associated with commercial arrangements.

Morelle’s regulatory practice includes advising on telecommunications and energy regulation. Morelle has acted for clients in merits review proceedings before the Australian Competition Tribunal and has experience in advising on a range of fixed line telecommunications regulatory issues.

Prior to joining Gilbert + Tobin, Morelle worked at the ACCC for four years where she gained considerable experience analysing the competitive effects of mergers. In particular, Morelle managed merger reviews in a range of industries including financial services, mining, manufacturing, energy, telecommunications, information technology and media. Morelle also worked in the Communications Group where she worked on a number of major projects, including the access pricing principles review, exemption inquiries for fixed line services, and the digital radio access regime.

Prior to her time at the ACCC, Morelle worked at the Productivity Commission, where she worked on public inquiries related to energy and waste management.

Morelle holds a Bachelor of Laws (Honours) and a Bachelor of Commerce (Honours in Economics) from the University of Melbourne. She is admitted as a solicitor in Victoria.
