Public M&A: consideration types and sources of funding in 2022

Chapter 5 of Gilbert + Tobin’s Takeovers + Schemes Review 2023 analyzes the types of consideration offered in public mergers and acquisitions in 2022. The chapter highlights that scrip-only consideration was prominent in M&A transactions, with 32% of announced transactions in 2022 offering it to target shareholders.
