Gilbert + Tobin (G+T) has acted as Australian legal counsel to US private equity firm American Industrial Partners (AIP) on the sale of CR to Swedish-based Epiroc.
Headquartered in Brisbane Australia, CR operates globally with a focus on technology and digital solutions for mining and industrial machinery.
The G+T deal team was led by Corporate Advisory partner David Josselsohn and lawyers Ashleigh Kern, James Fisher and Taylor Jones. The M&A team was supported by Tax partner Muhunthan Kanagaratnam, Banking + Projects partner Spiro Papadolias and lawyer Lucy Goodlad and Competition and Regulatory Partner Jeremy Jose.
G+T worked closely with AIP’s UK and US counsel on this multi-jurisdictional deal.
Reflecting on the deal, David said “Having a long-standing relationship with CR through its ownership by Quadrant Private Equity and then AIP, we were pleased to have been able to assist on this transaction and look forward to seeing CR grow under Epiroc’s ownership”
