Gilbert + Tobin advised DEVELOP Global Limited on the $400 million mining contract at Bellevue Gold’s Bellevue Gold Mine in Western Australia.
DEVELOP is an exploration and development company with copper and zinc projects in Western Australia, and is acquiring the Woodlawn VMS project in New South Wales which is currently on care and maintenance. Each of these projects either is, or will be underground mining projects focusing on producing clean metals.
As part of it business strategy, DEVELOP has been planning to create an underground mining business and so the contract to mine the Bellevue Gold Mine is DEVELOP’s first such contract. The mining contract covers a period of almost four years and allows DEVELOP’s Underground Services division to undertake construction, development and production activities at the underground mine located 40km to the north west of Leinster in the Goldfields region of Western Australia.
