ResetData is 50% owned by Centuria Capital Group, an ASX-listed specialist investment manager. Centuria and ResetData have announced a series of growth initiatives to increase both ResetData and the Group’s power, deployment capacity, GPU access and customer deployment capability as demand for AI compute continues to accelerate.
The financing sits alongside secured capacity with CDC Data Centres and a strategic memorandum of understanding with an investment-grade customer.
G+T advised Macquarie on all aspects of the transaction including the debt financing, GPU supply and data centre colocation arrangements. The team was led by partner and Real Assets Co-Head Stuart Cormack and special counsel James Frixou, with support from lawyers Greg Wolszczak and Hannah Townley.
The team was also supported by corporate advisory partner Xavier Keary and consultant Nick Haenel, and technology lawyer Astan Ure.
Stuart Cormack commented:
We are pleased to have supported Macquarie Bank on this innovative financing for ResetData. GPU financing is becoming an increasingly important part of the infrastructure required to support AI compute capacity, and this transaction shows how sophisticated asset finance structures can help unlock deployment at scale. We thank the Macquarie and ResetData teams for trusting us with such an important transaction.
James Frixou commented:
AI compute has quickly become core national infrastructure. This debt facility puts ResetData at the centre of Australia's next phase of AI growth, and is a significant transaction for its growth plans. It was a great team effort, pulling in specialists across our real asset and digital infrastructure, finance, corporate advisory and technology groups.
