Founded in 2018, PlayHQ has transformed the management of community sport through its cloud-based platform that simplifies registration, payments, competition management, live scoring, results, websites, apps and participant engagement for millions of players, parents, coaches, volunteers and administrators.

Today, PlayHQ serves nine sports, including cricket, netball, AFL, football, hockey and rugby, and powers the digital infrastructure for four of the top five national governing bodies in Australia – the AFL, Cricket Australia, Netball Australia and Basketball Australia. It has also expanded internationally to support national governing bodies in New Zealand, UK and Canada, processing more than 11 million registrations and fixturing more than 3.1 million games.

The acquisition will see PlayHQ continue under the leadership of CEO Tim MacKinnon and its existing executive team.
