This award cements G+T’s position as Australia’s most advanced law firm and reflects the creative, purposeful work underway across the firm to drive real change in the legal industry – from the way we use technology, to how we work with clients, and how we support our people and community.
This year, G+T was shortlisted in seven categories, including the Most Innovative Law Firm, recognising the breadth and impact of our initiatives:
Knowledge and Data (GilBot): our trademarked in-house generative AI tool, launched in July 2024, supports document analysis and legal queries, with tailored, practice-specific features.
Business of Law (Generative AI for eDiscovery): with early access to Relativity’s ‘aiR for Review’, we’ve pioneered a new approach to eDiscovery using generative AI – boosting speed and accuracy.
People and Skills (Generative AI transformation): we rolled out a firmwide generative AI program in 2024, including bootcamps, training, and hands-on pilots with tools such as Microsoft Copilot and Harvey – building confidence and capability across the firm.
Practice of Law (NSW Police Force BluLink platform): we supported the launch of BluLink, a platform enabling Triple Zero callers to share live video and location with emergency police response and public safety.
Practice of Law (Biodiversity carbon credit scheme): we advised GreenCollar on NaturePlus, a world-first credit scheme that rewards measurable improvements in ecosystem health and encourages biodiversity investment.
Responsible Business (First Nations students networking initiative): in partnership with Ngalaya, we host an annual event connecting First Nations law students with lawyers and role models, supporting career pathways into the profession.
“We’re incredibly proud to be recognised again by the Financial Times,” said Partner and Chief Knowledge and Innovation Officer, Caryn Sandler.
It’s a huge credit to the people across G+T who keep pushing boundaries and finding smarter ways to deliver value – to our clients, our community and each other.
