Gilbert + Tobin has advised Housing Australia on the financing of a new affordable housing development underway in Tonsley, South Australia, to support 63 long-term affordable homes as part of the Housing Australia Future Fund (HAFF).
Delivered in partnership with leading community housing provider Junction Australia and Conscious Investment Management (CIM), this HAFFproject is located in the Tonsley Innovation District in Adelaide, close to public transport, education providers, health services and employment opportunities. It will deliver high-quality, energy-efficient homes designed to reduce living costs for tenants and support sustainable community outcomes.
G+T was pleased to work closely with the Housing Australia team, Mark Rose, Sandeep Das, Bill Payne and Alison Wong, whose collaborative and solutions focused approach was instrumental in progressing the project.
G+T’s team was led by partner Adela Smith and special counsel James Frixou with support from lawyers Yuka Nagata and Abbey Crawley.
Adela Smith commented:
We are pleased to continue supporting Housing Australia and the Housing Australia Future Fund to support the delivery of 40,000 social and affordable homes, nationwide. This development highlights the value of strong collaboration and a shared commitment to increasing access to secure, affordable housing.
