Gilbert + Tobin has appointed distinguished constitutional lawyer Professor Anne Twomey AO, as a consultant. 

Professor Twomey was until recently a Professor of Constitutional Law and Director of the Constitutional Reform Unit at Sydney Law School at the University of Sydney and is widely regarded as an expert on the Constitution of Australia. She remains a Professor Emerita of the University of Sydney. Anne has joined Gilbert + Tobin on a part-time basis, providing constitutional and related advice, as well as training in this expertise area. 

Anne’s distinguished career highlights include working for the High Court of Australia, the Commonwealth Parliamentary Library, the Senate Legal and Constitutional Committee, and The Cabinet Office of NSW. She has acted as a consultant to various government bodies and her research interests span constitutional law, constitutional history, electoral law, parliamentary procedure and practice, executive power and government integrity. She is currently a member of the Constitutional Expert Group advising on the Voice referendum.
