Gilbert + Tobin celebrates International Women’s Day with fundraising events for UN Women in all offices.

The firm is a long-term supporter of UN Women Australia and the work it does to promote gender equality in Australia and the region.

This year UN Women is focusing on stopping violence against women and girls.

Recognising that 1 in 3 women in the world will experience violence in their lifetime, Gilbert + Tobin recently introduced a new domestic violence policy which allows for specialised support and leave for women and men experiencing family violence.

“One of the most important things we can do is to pause and consider how to support colleagues and the community to stop violence against women and girls,” said Managing Partner, Danny Gilbert.

“It is important that we also use today to recognise and celebrate the sensational contribution of the women in the firm and the men who support them to progress and achieve,” said Head of People, Robyn Whittaker.

Gilbert + Tobin is a leading employer of women, with 33% female partners and is recognised as an Employer of Choice for Gender Equality and Australian Workplace Equality Index Bronze tier recognised employer.
