For the second consecutive year, Gilbert + Tobin has been crowned Most Innovative Australian Law Firm at the prestigious Financial Times Innovative Lawyers Awards for Asia-Pacific 2015, held in Hong Kong on 10 June 2015.
Gilbert + Tobin is pleased to have advised Windlab and Eurus Energy on the development of the $50 million Coonooer Bridge wind farm. Windlab were one of three successful proponents in the ACT wind auction process. Windlab, who are based in Canberra, subsequently teamed up with Japanese based Eurus Energy. Together they will own and operate the wind farm.
A record number of Gilbert + Tobin partners have been recognised by their peers as among Australia’s leading lawyers, according to the results of the 2015 Best Lawyers Australia survey. Gilbert + Tobin is delighted to confirm that, after 400 days, journalist Peter Greste has been released from jail in Egypt pursuant to an application made on Peter’s behalf by Gilbert + Tobin to the President of the Egyptian Arab Republic, and after diplomatic representations made by the Commonwealth of Australia.
