Biography
Arden is a lawyer in our Intellectual Property group.She represents clients in IP disputes at the Federal Court of Australia, with a focus on biotechnology, medical devices, pharmaceuticals and technology. She also advises clients on IP and TGA compliance across transactions, licensing arrangements and consumer product clearance and advertisement.
Arden also served at the Victorian Bar, where she assisted preeminent Senior and King’s Counsel on complex litigation at the Victorian Supreme Court and at the Australian High Court. During this time, she worked on matters that included challenging the constitutional validity of the COVID-19 Mandatory Vaccination (Workers) Directions and the abolition of the peak indebtedness rule in the context of liquidation and insolvency. She has also served as the Secretary of the National Chair of the Intellectual Property Subcomittee of the Law Council of Australia.
Arden is an avid writer and has published on the intersection of pharmaceutical IP and competition law in Australia, on cultural diversity in law and on the justiciability of ministerial negligence under federal environmental law.
