Biography
Dermott is a lawyer in our Competition, Consumer and Market Regulation group.He is currently on reverse secondment from Telstra and advises on competition and consumer law compliance, investigations and litigation, including regulatory enforcement and strategic advisory work.
Dermott brings experience across media, technology, intellectual property, defamation and civil litigation. Before joining G+T, he worked at the Australian Broadcasting Corporation, Fox Sports Australia, Channel Nine, law firms and a major essential infrastructure services provider in legal, commercial and supply chain management roles.
His experience includes high profile defamation matters, Australia's first public interest defence case and a licence scheme reference before the Copyright Tribunal for a collecting society client.
