Mikhail Glavac

Biography

Mikhail is a special counsel in our Restructuring and Insolvency group.

He has more than ten years of experience in all aspects of corporate restructuring and insolvency, including advising insolvency practitioners, corporates, financial institutions, creditors and the Australian Government.

Mikhail’s experience spans the mining, retail, hospitality, manufacturing, construction, technology, and transport and logistics industries and he was worked on some of the largest and most complex corporate restructuring and insolvency matters.

Experience

Mikhail’s experience includes advising:

  • FTI as the administrators of ASX-listed Panoramic Resources.

  • PwC as the administrators of Melbourne Rebels Rugby Union.

  • Deloitte as the administrators of IG Power (Callide), the owner of a 50% interest in the Callide C coal-fired Power Station in Queensland.

  • Commonwealth Government (Department of Employment and Workplace Relations), which administers the Fair Entitlements Guarantee scheme, in the external administration of Spitfire Corporation Ltd and its subsidiaries.

  • Commonwealth Bank of Australia and the receivers and managers appointed by it to Porter Davis Homes.

  • FTI as the administrators of Jenny Craig Australia.

  • Deloitte as the administrators of Virgin Australia Airlines.

  • Commonwealth Government in the RCR Tomlinson administration and liquidation, involving Supreme Court proceedings on complex legal issues and statutory priority in distributing a A$100 million fund.

  • The administrators of the Napoleon Perdis Cosmetics group on the successful restructure of the group via deed of company arrangement and creditors’ trust.

  • McGrathNicol as receivers of the Tritium, including the ongoing trading of the global business in several jurisdictions, receivership funding and the global enforcement and realisation strategy and implementation.
