Vanessa Mackinnon

As General Counsel, Vanessa advises the firm and its people on legal matters. In her role, she oversees the firm’s ongoing compliance with laws, regulations and policies and supports the firm with ensuring it meets the highest of standards in legal best practice.

Vanessa and her team play a critical role in protecting the interests and reputation of the firm and its people.

Prior to joining Gilbert + Tobin, Vanessa worked as a senior in-house lawyer in the Office of General Counsel at another top tier Australian law firm.

She has more than 20 years’ experience in that role and in practice as a funds management and real estate lawyer.
