Biography

    Lesley is a partner in Gilbert + Tobin’s Tech + IP group specialising in Technology + Digital.

    She is a specialist in large scale procurement projects focusing on the acquisition of IT and communications technology, with a focus on the financial services and government sectors. Her practice includes IT and business process outsourcing and offshoring, systems development and integration, software and hardware procurement and support, cloud computing and “As a Service” arrangements, innovation projects, alliance contracting, telecommunications facilities access and network rollout agreements.

    Lesley is also often involved in corporate transactions, advising on the related technology separation and transition arrangements.

    Her practice has a regulatory component including media and telecommunications regulatory advice, privacy, big data and cybersecurity advice and advice on blockchain, artificial intelligence and the internet of things. She is a member of Law Society of NSW Taskforce on AI & other tools and trends shaping the legal profession.

    Lesley is a leader in pro bono having been a member of the non-profit board of another law firm for nearly 10 years. She regularly acts for clients on a pro bono basis, particularly non-profits providing services to indigenous communities. Lesley volunteers with a non-profit organisation in her personal capacity.

    Lesley is ranked Band 3 in TMT: Information Technology.
