Michael Mellon

Michael is a Special Counsel in Gilbert + Tobin’s Corporate Advisory Group, specialising in alternative investment funds and financial services.

Michael is regularly called upon by Sponsors and Investors in a range of domestic funds and international funds across a myriad of asset classes and industries. He has a particular interest in private equity and venture capital funds and experience with property, infrastructure, credit, and special situation funds.

Michael’s experience also extends to include establishing funds management businesses, M&A transactions, secondary sales of interests, carried interest arrangements, policies and procedures, and advising on financial services laws.

His clients include Allegro, CPE Capital, Qantas Superannuation, Global Alternative Funds, Liverpool Partners, Perennial Partners.

Michael holds a Bachelor of Laws, a Bachelor of Arts, and is an Australian Notary Public.
