Muhunthan is a partner in Gilbert + Tobin’s tax practice.
He has extensive experience advising clients across a wide range of industries, with a particular focus on the financial, manufacturing, transport and logistics industries. His specialties are mergers and acquisitions and tax disputes. He has advised on many cross-border corporate acquisitions, disposals and restructures; privatisations on both the Government and private enterprise sides; and equity raisings, floats and debt raisings.
Muhunthan regularly presents at conferences for The Tax Institute and has written training materials for the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia. He has also represented CPA Australia in Treasury consultation and has participated in other Treasury forums.
Muhunthan was admitted as a solicitor in New South Wales in 1998 and has a Master of Laws (University of Sydney) and Bachelor of Commerce/Bachelor of Laws (University of New South Wales).
