G+T has advised L Catterton, the largest consumer-focused private equity firm in the world, on the sale of RM Williams to Andrew Forrest’s private investment group Tattarang.

RM Williams was founded in 1932 by bushman and entrepreneur Reginald Murray ‘R.M.’ Williams and has grown to become one of Australia’s most quintessential brands. The Adelaide-based outfitter is best known for the handcrafting of quality leather boots. The sale from LVMH-backed L Catterton, brings the brand back under Australian ownership.
