G+T is pleased to have advised ACCIONA on its successful acquisition of 100% ownership of the Kwinana Waste-to-Energy project in an agreement reached with Macquarie Capital and Dutch Infrastructure Fund. The G+T team acted on the asset and restructuring aspects of the complex transaction and assisted ACCIONA in its strategy to secure this unique facility.

Head of Energy + Infrastructure Alexander Danne led the matter for G+T. The team also included Restructuring + Insolvency Partners Peter Bowden and Anna Schwartz, Energy + Infrastructure Partner Peter Doyle, special counsels Alexandra Whitby and Roy Groom, consultant Rohit Venkat and lawyers Stephanie Rowan, Michal Magat, Adrienne Mallinson, Tom Gardner, Cameron Adair, Eugene Teo and Dylan Gaymer.

Alex Danne and Anna Schwartz commented: “We are delighted to have supported ACCIONA on its acquisition of this critical asset and the important role it will play in the delivery of Australia’s first Waste-to-Energy facility."

Kon Nakousis, relationship partner added: “G+T is very proud to continue to assist ACCIONA to deliver successful outcomes on complex projects across the energy and infrastructure sectors and I congratulate both ACCIONA and my colleagues on the achievement of this important milestone.”
