G+T is pleased to have advised ACCIONA on its successful acquisition of 100% ownership of the Kwinana Waste-to-Energy project in an agreement reached with Macquarie Capital and Dutch Infrastructure Fund. The project will deliver sustainable energy to local households and businesses while diverting waste from landfill.

ACCIONA’s investment provides certainty for the ongoing construction and future operation of the facility, its workers, and the local community. ACCIONA is ideally placed to achieve completion and the successful operation of this facility, a vital asset that will deliver critical waste management infrastructure and sustainable energy to Western Australia.

The G+T team acted on the asset and restructuring aspects of the complex transaction and assisted ACCIONA in its strategy to secure this unique facility.

Energy + Infrastructure Partner Alexander Danne led the matter for G+T.
