Gilbert + Tobin is pleased to announce it has advised Dubai-listed logistics and transportation leader, Aramex on its strategic e-commerce joint venture with Australia Post.

As previously announced, Aramex and Australia Post have formed an Asian-based joint venture, targeting the global e-commerce market, with a particular focus on Asia.

The joint venture has acquired Australia Post’s StarTrack International global e-commerce postal solutions business and will build on the service capability of that business and Aramex's global express delivery network.

As part of the wider transaction, Aramex has sold Mail Call Couriers to Australia Post’s StarTrack Courier business.

Gilbert + Tobin M&A partner David Josselsohn said he is delighted to have had the opportunity to work with Aramex again to achieve this important strategic outcome for both parties.

The Gilbert + Tobin team was led by corporate partners David Josselsohn and Hiroshi Narushima and lawyers Catrina Yu, Ilona Hunnisett, Kaushik Murali, Samuel Kang, Andrew Hii (TMT) and Althea Carbon (TMT).  Lawyers from our other specialist practices were also involved.
