Gilbert + Tobin is continuing to strengthen its market position, being awarded the prestigious Law Firm of the Year award.
The firm was honoured at the 16th annual Lawyers Weekly Australian Law Awards, where more than 800 people gathered to celebrate excellence within the legal profession.
Managing Partner Danny Gilbert said the award reflected Gilbert + Tobin’s commitment to leading the Australian corporate legal industry.
“We are honoured with this level of recognition. It is reflective of the quality and depth of our expertise across the full range of corporate legal services,” he said.
Gilbert + Tobin was also shortlisted for a number of other awards, including Innovator of the Year, Banking and Finance Team of the Year, Intellectual Property Team of the Year, Transaction Team of the Year, Pro Bono Program of the Year, Legal Support Professional of the Year – Matthew Golab, Senior Associate of the Year – Rebecca Dunn, Special Counsel of the Year – Caroline Mathie, Special Counsel of the Year – Peter Reeves, Partner of the Year – Colleen Platford, and Young Gun of the Year – Rhys McWhirter.
The firm was also named Australasian Law Firm of the Year (100-500 Lawyers) for the second consecutive year, in May 2016.
