Ebony Keenan-Dunn

Biography

Ebony is a special counsel in our Corporate Advisory group.

She advises both public and private company clients in relation to mergers and acquisitions, corporate fundraising, private equity transactions, regulatory compliance and general corporate and commercial issues. Ebony has particularly strong experience in takeovers and schemes of arrangement and has also advised a number of domestic and international sponsors on some of the largest and most complex transactions in the market.  

Ebony has spent considerable time in senior roles in both London and Dubai with a top tier global firm executing large M&A and capital markets transactions and has extensive experience in managing complex cross border transactions. 

Ebony has a Master of Laws from Griffith University / University of Sydney. She also has a Bachelor of Science in Molecular & Cell Biology and Genetics and a Bachelor of Laws (Honours) from the University of Queensland. 

Experience

Ebony’s experience includes advising:

  • KKR on the proposed acquisition of Perpetual’s corporate trust and wealth management business for $2.175 billion.

  • KKR on the acquisition of a 55 per cent stake in Colonial First State from the Commonwealth Bank of Australia.

  • OZ Minerals in relation to the $9.6 billion acquisition by BHP of OZ Minerals by scheme of arrangement.

  • BGH consortium (including BGH Capital, AustralianSuper and Rod Jones) on its $2.1 billion acquisition of Navitas by scheme of arrangement.

  • KKR on the corporate aspects of its $3.2 billion acquisition of Arnott’s Biscuits and certain international operations of Campbell Soup.

  • KKR on its $2 billion acquisition of MYOB Group by scheme of arrangement.

  • Orica on its acquisition of Terra Insights for an enterprise value of CAD$505 million.

  • KKR on its acquisition of a majority stake in Synergis from Goldman Sachs.

  • ISPT in relation to the acquisition by IFM of ISPT.
