Biography
Holly is a partner in our Disputes and Investigations group.She has a strong track record in handling significant and complex litigation across Australia.
Holly’s extensive experience includes acting for corporates, financial institutions and boards in major class actions and commercial disputes. She has acted in many of Australia’s most significant matters, with experience across sectors including healthcare and life sciences, energy and resources, financial markets, technology, funds, property and development, consumer and retail and manufacturing.
Her class action experience includes shareholder, securities and product liability class actions, as well as class actions involving unfair contract terms, financial products and franchisees and related insurance coverage disputes.
Holly also regularly acts for clients in significant regulatory investigations and contentious regulatory matters involving Australian and foreign authorities (including ASIC, AUSTRAC, ACCC and state regulators), as well as royal commissions, commissions of inquiry and parliamentary inquiries.

WiseTech, Uber, BGC Housing Group, directors of Nuix, Bank of Queensland, 7-Eleven, Inc., pharmaceutical companies, motor vehicle manufacturers and others on class action defence.
Bank of Queensland, former CEO of Rio Tinto, directors of Nuix, Holista Colltech, Paramount and Network 10, IBM, Lendlease, Queensland Investment Corporation and others in various regulatory matters, investigations and inquiries.
Global corporates on product liability and regulatory issues associated with pharmaceutical products (including opioids), medical devices, inflator devices, motor vehicles and infant goods.
Sanofi and Bristol-Myers Squibb in novel and landmark litigation brought by the Commonwealth Government concerning PBS subsidies for blockbuster drug Plavix.
Bristol-Myers Squibb and Otsuka Pharmaceutical Co. Ltd in major litigation brought by the Commonwealth Government concerning PBS subsidies for blockbuster drug Abilify.
Procter & Gamble in relation to various disputes and regulatory matters involving consumer goods.
Queensland Investment Corporation in major litigation and disputes concerning investments in Pacific Werribee Shopping Centre and the Iona Gas Facility.
Lendlease in litigation against the Barangaroo Delivery Authority and in regulatory inquiries concerning sightlines from Lendlease’s developments at Barangaroo.
IBM in major litigation and disputes more than 10 years concerning the eCensus, Queensland Health and various commercial and government projects.
Jarden in a novel claim against Birch & Waite Foods in relation to a mandate letter tail fee.
Significant insurance coverage disputes involving Scottish Pacific and Bank of Queensland, including in relation to class action insurance coverage.
Bank of Queensland and subsidiaries in the Royal Commission into Misconduct in the Banking, Superannuation and Financial Services Industry.
