The Corporate Advisory practice is delighted to welcome new partner Phil Turner to G+T this week, as he joins their Sydney team.

Phil is a leading superannuation lawyer with twenty years’ experience assisting trustees of super funds on a full range of legal issues. His practice includes investment work for super trustees, M&A transactions, successor fund transfers, superannuation litigation and financial services regulation.  Prior to joining G+T, Phil was a special counsel at MinterEllison, and has also practiced at Clayton Utz and Corrs Chambers Westgarth. He has also spent time on secondment to major superannuation trustees.

In joining G+T’s Corporate Advisory team, Phil commented “Clients trust G+T to handle some of the most complex transactions in Australia, as well as litigation and regulatory investigations.  I look forward to working with the team at G+T to deliver excellent work for superannuation trustees.”

Co-Heads of Corporate Advisory Costas Condoleon and Neil Pathak said “The prevalence and influence of superannuation funds on the Australian M&A landscape continues to grow, as we have seen first-hand on many deals.  Phil’s experience and superannuation specialisation will allow us to deliver a more comprehensive offering to this significant and important sector and to the large super funds who are central to a lot of transactional activity.  We are delighted to have Phil join us and to enhance our team in this way.”
