G+T continues strong growth with seven promoted to partnership and six new special counsel appointments

Gilbert + Tobin is set to increase its market-leading position across a number of key specialities with the promotion of seven new partners and six special counsel, effective 1 July 2018.

The new partners and special counsel build on G+T’s reputation for advising clients on their most significant corporate transactions and disputes across core practice areas including Competition + Regulation, Corporate, Technology + Digital, Banking + Infrastructure, Litigation, Environment and Employment.

The firm is delighted to welcome its newly promoted partners:

Jennifer Barron has extensive experience in competition and regulatory matters and regularly advises clients in relation to securing ACCC clearance for complex transactions, engagement with regulators including ACCC investigations and inquiries, and compliance issues.

Alastair Corrigall specialises in corporate and securities law, with experience across public and private M&A, equity capital markets and debt capital markets. Alastair has a strong focus on private equity, and has acted for a number of leading Australian and global private equity players.

Ben Fuller is a specialist on all aspects of environmental impact assessment and approvals strategy for projects in a wide variety of industry sectors across Australia, planning and environment law advice and litigation, remediation and development of contaminated land and corporate environmental due diligence.

Christiana McCudden advises clients in respect of commercial and corporate disputes as well as payments regulations and contractual arrangements. Christiana has extensive experience acting in large proceedings in state and federal jurisdictions including appellate courts and statutory tribunals.

Andrew Hii specialises in advising on the implementation of technology and data projects across the private and public sector, including technology and telecommunications outsourcing and systems implementation.

Robert Trowbridge focuses on corporate, structured, acquisition, project finance and restructuring, having acted for lenders, borrowers and sponsors on many high-profile international and cross-border financings in a broad range of sectors including oil and gas, infrastructure, mining and retail. He also specialises in subscription line financing. 

G+T’s Chief Knowledge and Innovation Officer, Caryn Sandler, was also promoted to partner. Caryn, a former corporate lawyer, now leads the firm’s innovation and technology strategy with a focus on collaborating with clients to transform and streamline the delivery of legal services.

The firm’s new special counsel include Competition & Regulation lawyers Louise Klamka, Adelina Widjaja and Genevieve Rahman, Banking + Infrastructure lawyers Louise McCoach and Spiro Papadolias as well as Employment lawyer James Pomeroy.
